Downunder Wax was the creation of Advanced Aesthetician Melissa Frieden, owner of Downunder Waxing. After years of trialing new wax brands to find the lowest melting point, thinnest spread and most flexible hard wax she decided to create her own. She scoured lands near and far to stumble upon the mastery of Italian wax manufacturing and formulated a wax that is not only a treat for the eye, but also a breeze to use, cost effective and leaves no pube behind. 

At Downunder Wax we believe that there is no need for a wax for every hair type, location on the body or gender of the client. We created a wax that is suitable for body hair from your brows to your toes. We only offer what is absolutely necessary to get the job done efficiently and with as few yelps as possible.

  • Nova Wax was created by Melissa Frieden with the goal of creating a formula that is perfect for every service, hair type and skin type. This also means you will experience less clean up, faster service times, happier clients therefore more money in your pocket!

  • Yes you can! We all were trained and developed our skills a little differently so it is personal preference. We have both hard and soft wax available to suit all your waxing needs.

  • Yes, our depilatory wax is suitable for all skin types. However, people with very sensitive skin should perform a patch test before applying wax to larger areas to ensure there are no adverse reactions.

  • If there is any leftover wax on the skin, use our specially formulated post-wax oil to gently remove the residue. Follow the directions provided with the wax for the best removal method.

  • We have warmers available for purchase however any wax warmer with adjustable settings can be used.
